Cultural heritage management plans that work on site.

A plan is only useful if the site team can follow it. We help prepare cultural heritage management plans, agreements and procedures based on your approvals and your program, and we can deliver the field work that sits under them.

Built around your approvals and program.

We read the conditions, check the site and write procedures your contractors can actually apply.

  • Cultural heritage management plans and agreements
  • Historical heritage management plans
  • Unexpected finds and stop-work procedures
  • Updates when the program, approvals or site conditions change

A plan ready for approval and use.

Plans are written to meet the relevant law and conditions and are practical enough to hand to the site team.

  • Summary of known places and areas of sensitivity
  • Management measures and responsibilities
  • Monitoring, notification and reporting schedule
  • Forms and registers for site use

How pricing works

Plans are quoted as a fixed fee once we have seen the approval conditions and site details. Consultation, surveys and field programs are quoted separately.

Send the approvals, project footprint, program and any existing plans or surveys.

Legislation we plan to

Plans are written to the heritage law in the state where the project sits, such as a cultural heritage management plan under the Aboriginal Cultural Heritage Act 2003 in Queensland or the Aboriginal Heritage Act 2006 in Victoria, as well as any project-specific conditions.

Working with Traditional Owners

Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultural heritage belongs to the people whose Country it is. Where a cultural heritage agreement, management plan or permit names the Aboriginal party, Registered Aboriginal Party or Native Title group for the area, we work alongside their representatives and follow their direction on cultural matters. Their cultural advice, and the decisions that come from it, are theirs.

Frequently asked questions

Can you update an existing plan?

Yes. We review existing plans against current conditions and site practice and suggest updates, which are then agreed with the parties to the plan.

Do you also do the field work?

Yes. We can deliver the surveys, monitoring and finds response set out in the plan, so the plan and the field records line up.

How long does a plan take?

It depends on the project, the consultation required and how much information is available. We give you a timeframe with the quote.
