Natural heritage assessed alongside the rest of your site.

Volcanic peaks rising above forested plains in south east Queensland

Heritage is not only built or archaeological. Landscapes, landforms, fossil sites, caves and significant trees can be listed for their natural values, and World, National and Commonwealth Heritage places carry their own approvals. We identify those values early and show how your project can work around them.

How pricing works

Quotes are itemised by day rate, travel, vehicle and equipment, and reporting. Desktop assessments are usually a fixed fee, with field inspection quoted by the day.

Send the site location, the work program, your preferred dates and any approval or agreement conditions. We confirm scope, availability and price before work is booked.

Qualifications

Each task is carried out by personnel holding the qualifications it requires in that state, such as a degree in archaeology or a recognised heritage advisor role where the law asks for one. Details are supplied with the quote or before mobilisation on request.

Frequently asked questions

What counts as natural heritage?

Places listed for natural values, such as landscapes, landforms, fossil and cave sites, wetlands and significant trees. Many places are listed for natural and cultural values together.

Does my project need an EPBC Act referral?

It may, if it could significantly affect a World or National Heritage place or Commonwealth land. We check the lists and help you decide, but the referral decision itself sits with you and the Department.

Do you do ecology surveys?

No. We assess heritage values. Where flora or fauna surveys are needed, we coordinate with your ecologist so the findings line up.
